Pharmacy Residency Program

Our philosophy of practice revolves around the delivery of truly comprehensive pharmaceutical care-and in tapping into the expertise of our practitioners to serve not only patients, but also the hospital and community as whole.

The Pharmacy Department has a general practice pharmacy residency consisting of a 12 month program including inpatient acute care, ambulatory care, drug information and practice management in a tertiary care setting. We have Pharmacy Clinical Specialists in the following areas: Hematology /Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Internal Medicine/Cardiology, Solid organ transplant, Infectious diseases and Critical Care.

The pharmacy practice resident at Georgetown will be considered a full time employee and will receive a competitive salary with an option for a full medical benefits package.

Entry level requirements for the pharmacy practice resident include:

  • Successful completion of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Eligibility for pharmacy licensure in the District of Columbia
  • Successful completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy program
