Audiological Services
The Division of Audiology & Hearing Research of Georgetown University Hospital provides a variety of clinical services and research efforts related to hearing impairment and associated communication disorders. Comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological services are provided to outpatients and inpatients.
Diagnostic activities include:
- universal newborn hearing screening
- behavioral measurement of hearing sensitivity
- electrophysiologic measurement of hearing sensitivity (ABR and ASSR)
- evaluation of central auditory processing ability
- determination of middle ear function with acoustic immittance
- measurement of cochlear hair cell function with otoacoustic emissions
- electrophysiologic measurement of the auditory nervous system
- evaluation of cochlear implant candidacy
Rehabilitative activities include:
- hearing aid evaluations
- fitting and dispensing of analog & digital hearing aids
- evaluation, fitting and dispensing of other assistive hearing devices
- auditory rehabilitation
- mapping and rehabilitation following cochlear implantation

8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
