Neurology Residency Program

Since its founding in 1898, Georgetown University Hospital has trained physicians and provided patient care. Georgetown's residency programs cultivate talent by seeking individuals with exceptional educational preparation and enlarging their proficiency in medical decision making, challenging their ability to think and to care, and supporting them with the best minds and the best technology. Graduates of Georgetown's Neurology Training Program are known for their mastery of the art, ethics, and science of healing.

Georgetown's Department of Neurology Residency is a fully accredited three-year program with its major goal to prepare neurologists for a career in academic medicine, beginning with the acquisition of excellent clinical skills. A rich and diversified clinical experience is assured by exposure to several distinct inpatient services, consultative services, and outpatient settings at the three teaching hospitals. Residents develop clinical skills in neurology by providing comprehensive care to adult and pediatric neurology patients.
