Occupational Therapy Services:

Inpatient occupational therapists address developmental delays in fine motor, visual, cognitive and behavioral skills. In addition, they facilitate independence in self-care and mobility skills limited by injury, surgery or illness. Occupational therapists also provide custom upper extremity splinting and positioning. When appropriate, recommendations are provided for adaptive equipment and continued rehabilitation services.

Outpatient occupational therapist provide standardized and non-standardized assessments and treatment of developmental milestones, hand function impairments affecting fine motor coordination, sensory motor dysfunction including visual perceptual difficulties, age appropriate activities of daily living and evaluation of adaptive equipment needs.


Physical Therapy Services:

Inpatient physical therapists address developmental delays in mobility, strength, endurance, balance, and gross motor skills, as well as functional limitations caused by injury, surgery or illness. When appropriate, recommendations are provided for adaptive equipment and continued rehabilitation services.

Outpatient physical therapists provide standardized and non-standardized assessments and treatment of neuromuscular and musculoskeletal dysfunction, and developmental delay of gross motor and functional skills including gait. In addition, they provide assessment of medical and adaptive equipment needs such as wheelchairs, positioning devices, standers, walkers, and orthotic devices.


Speech Language Pathology Services:

Inpatient speech language pathologists address communication, feeding, and swallowing problems due to developmental delay, illness, injury, or surgery. They determine the most efficient and effective way for children to express themselves or understand others. In addition, speech language pathologists conduct modified barium swallow studies in conjunction with the Department of Radiology to assess children with swallowing difficulties who are at risk for aspiration. When appropriate, recommendations are provided for adaptive equipment and continued rehabilitation services

Outpatient speech language pathologists provide standardized and non-standardized assessments and treatment of communicative disorders, speech and language development, feeding and oral motor skills, and articulation and fluency disorders.
