Anatoly Dritschilo, M.D.
Anatoly Dritschilo, MD, is Chair of the Department of Radiation Medicine and Chief of the Radiation Oncology at Georgetown University Hospital. He oversees the radiation medicine programs at the hospital and at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Dritschilo received his medical degree from The College of Medicine of New Jersey and trained at Cincinnati General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in radiation oncology. He was also a research fellow in cellular radiation biology at Harvard under the mentorship of Dr. James Belli.
Dr. Dritschilo has over 20 years in practice, specializing in the treatment of breast and prostate cancer. He holds a series of patents in radiosurgery and stereotactic methods and is a well-known speaker in the fields of radiation and radiotherapy. He has published over 150 research articles in medical and scientific journals regarding the basic molecular mechanisms of cancer and the clinical translation of laboratory research to patient care.
Dr. Dritschilo is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology and is an advisor to the National Institutes of Health and the American Cancer Society on research funding matters.
Dr. Dritschilo is on the Board of Directors of the National Coalition for Cancer Research, on the Roster of Distinguished Scientific Advisors to the Radiological Society of North America and is a member of the Radiation Research Society.
