THE CHILDREN AND YOUTH AMBULATORY SERVICE (CYAS) at Georgetown University Children’s Medical Center is a full-service pediatric office. We are here to provide your child with high quality medical care in a child-friendly environment.

Our pediatric practice consists of two components – the general pediatrics practice, and the pediatricians trained in specialty areas, such as the nervous system, cancer and GI. We offer a full compliment of pediatric subspecialty services. Our pediatricians are members of the faculty of the Georgetown University School of Medicine. They function as private physicians within a large academic heath center, and are therefore able to offer you and your family the most personal and up-to-date care. Our pediatric nurses are specially trained to deal with children, and our staff is child-friendly.

Our GENERAL PEDIATRICIANS care for children from birth through adolescence. They are devoted to helping you maintain the health of your child – by providing health exams, immunizations and guidance.

Our primary care offices are located at Georgetown University Hospital, on the 2nd Floor of the Pasquerilla Healthcare Center (PHC) - and are open for extended hours for your convenience.

Our office hours are:
Monday through Thursday   8 am – 7 pm
Fridays   9 am – 6 pm
Saturdays   9 am – 12 noon

Please call us at (202) 444-KIDS (5437) to schedule a primary care appointment with us. Walk in hours are 8-9 am Monday through Thursday.

In an Emergency

A doctor is always available when the office is closed, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. For an emergency after office hours, call the page operator at (202) 444- 7243 and ask for the CYAS pediatrician on call, or the desired subspecialist on call. Leave your name, phone number, child’s date of birth and the doctor will call you back. If you do not hear from the doctor in 30 minutes, call again. If your child is extremely ill, go straight to the nearest emergency room or call 911.
