Liver Transplant and Pancreatic Surgery

The Transplant Institute and International Center for Liver Diseases at Georgetown University Hospital is the area's best answer to the evaluation and treatment of advanced liver disease. We offer innovative treatments and access to research trials for patients with a wide range of liver conditions. Further, our team approach to patient care generates superior results, whether we are managing chronic liver conditions or performing liver transplant procedures.

Liver, Kidney/Pancreas, and Pancreas Transplantation

The center is affiliated with the Georgetown Transplant Institute, a program that offers liver, kidney, kidney/pancreas and pancreas transplantation. Established in 1998, the institute has performed hundreds of transplants since that time, experiencing dramatic growth and earning widespread respect. The institute's surgeons have performed more than 180 liver transplants to date. Georgetown University Hospital is now able to provide its successful transplant program to children living in the area. Children require a great deal of care during the transplant process and we are proud to offer our expert care so close to home.
