C6-1 is a patient centered Neurotelemetry and Stroke Unit with nineteen (19) beds that is dedicated to the care of non-critical adult stroke patients who may or may not need telemetry monitoring and seizure patients requiring continuous electroencephalographic (EEG) monitoring. The provision of care is not only patient centered, but also interdisciplinary and collaborative as shown by the teamwork among the registered nurses and the clinical technicians, doctors and nurses and the weekly discharge planning meetings that are attended by nursing staff, therapists, case manager, pastoral care, and others.
