Dr. Maurice Nahabedian is a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the breast. He came to Georgetown University Hospital, Department of Plastic Surgery in 2005. Previous to that he was the Director of the Center for Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery of the Breast at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He has performed over 1,300 breast reconstructions using flaps as well as prosthetic devices. He is internationally recognized for his expertise in DIEP flap breast reconstruction.

Maurice Nahabedian, MD is faculty member of the Department of Plastic Surgery and is an associate professor of plastic surgery at Georgetown University Medical School. Dr. Nahabedian has published 70 scientific manuscripts, 15 book chapters, edited 3 textbooks, and delivered over 400 presentations on topics related to plastic surgery of the breast. Dr. Nahabedian also serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Annals of Plastic Surgery, and the Breast Journal.
