Washington, D.C.—Pediatric patients at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital were recently treated to a special party celebrating the one and only Dr. Seuss.
The event was held in recognition of Read Across America Day—a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2, Dr. Seuss’s birthday. The beloved children’s book author would have turned 108 in 2012.

NBC4 morning anchor Eun Yang stopped by to read some of her favorite Dr. Seuss books to the kids at MedStar Georgetown.
Special guest, Eun Yang, morning anchor on NBC4 in Washington, DC, read some of her favorite Dr. Seuss books to the children. While the Seuss-themed party didn’t include any green eggs and ham, guests did enjoy pizza, an appearance by the Cat in the Hat and treats from Georgetown Cupcake. Hope for Henry Foundation, which hosted the party, donated hundreds of Dr. Seuss books to the patients at MedStar Georgetown.
