Group Practice
Your doctor is part of a larger group of doctors who work in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. The various doctors in each group cover nights, weekends and holidays on a rotating basis to provide after-hours coverage for urgent obstetrical care and emergent gynecological situations.
Should you need medical attention after regular office hours, you may receive care by a physician covering for your doctor. Should you need to be seen urgently in the office during regular office hours, you may be scheduled to see the physician on call for the group.
